Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has invited Speaker of the Lok Sabha [lower house of India's Bicameral-Parliament] Sumitra Mahajan to Ukraine at her convenience. Groysman made respective invitation to Ambassador of the Republic of India to Ukraine Manoj Kumar Bharti during the meeting on Thursday.
Groysman noted that the visit of the India's Speaker would become an effective step towards "the intensification of the dialogue between the parliaments of the two countries."
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and the Ambassador pointed out the efficiency of interparliamentary relations between the deputy friendship groups of Ukraine and India and noted positive dynamics of development of the interparliamentary relations.
The Parties also discussed the cooperation between Ukraine and India in economic, defense, agricultural and cultural sectors. "We have considerable potential for the development of relations between Ukraine and India," Groysman said.
